First Goal: Accomplished

So, It has officially been 12 days since I have been drinking Shakeology...so, almost 2 weeks.


Since my daughter was born last November, I had dropped to about 181lbs. I stayed that way for a few months, and then landed myself at 177lbs. Nothing I tried adjusted the scale. The last time I weighed myself was 3 weeks ago...October 18th. I happened to be at the gym trying to get on the treadmill for a light workout and decided I'd weigh myself. (Very upset to find I STILL weighed 177).



Fast forward 3 weeks later, and drinking Shakeology 2 times a day for those 12 days...I'm proud and excited to announce that I am now down almost 7lbs! I weighed myself officially last night while trying to get in extra cardio. I was super shocked that I actually stepped off the scale and got back on to see if the scale was off. LOL.


Honestly, I am really surprised to see these kind of results happen in 3 weeks! Mind you, I have done barely any exercise because I have been sick on and off..so it's mostly the way I've been eating.


Here's a look at what I've basically been eating for a day:


Breakfast: Shakeology and ice water (sometimes a fried egg and fruit)

Snack: apple, 2 tbl spoons of almond butter

Lunch: Shakeology, spinach, carrots, tomato, pecans and lemon juice for dressing

Snack: Protein Bar or Zucchini Noodles with coconut oil

Dinner: Chicken Thighs, salad (dressed with lemon juice, cucumbers, carrots, tomato) and grapes


As I have been drinking Shakeology twice a day, I noticed that I do not have any cravings for chocolate or really any sweets and I am noticing that I feel full not long after I eat. I feel like I am not starving myself at all. I have the energy I need throughout the day and have energy to help me in my workouts.

(I also have been making sure I am drinking lots of water with every meal and even some in between meals).



I have also been using MyFitnessPal to make sure I do eat enough calories. If the app tells me I have ate too little for the day, I add in a protein cookie or add an avacado or egg to my salad. I like this app for multiple reasons, including the note that tells me I have ate too little, but it also gives me an outlook to see how much weight I can loose if I ate this way everyday for 4 weeks.


In the beginning, I must admit, I was a bit skeptical, but man, this blows my mind. This has helped me regain the motivation that I needed to keep up my weight loss goal. I was feeling a bit down because I had seemed to be stuck at this size and weight. It for sure helped me regain the confidence I needed to move forward. I also noticed that my pants are feeling a bit looser around the hip area. (Having a baby makes you gain more weight in the hips and thighs :/)


I'm glad to be able to have this sense of relief knowing that I can loose the weight and get fit again. I'll keep it up through the next month and see where it takes me!
