Are you tired of the inflation that is going on in our society? I am not sure about you, but where I live, groceries are the 2nd most expensive thing in our household (1st is rent). With our growing family size of 6, it is super hard to find food that is healthy, affordable and cheap.
I want my family and I to have a healthy lifestyle by learning to eat the right food choices. I do not want my kiddos to get in the habit of grabbing that cheap bag of Doritos or stuffing their faces with high sugar processed food. But, with inflation happening, I am looking for cheaper alternatives. It seems like every time I run out to the store the price of a bag of spinach goes sky high! (by the way, Spinach use to be 99 cents, now it up to a whopping $3.95!!)
I am not sure about you, but I am looking to slash my budgets...and where else can I cut cost? Food. Yes, Food. But I just don't want to be cheap and live off of beans and rice. I want my family to eat healthy and cheap. Yes, I would like my cake and eat it too..haha.
I've tried shopping at discount stores in order to go cheaper and still eat healthy, but those always end up going bad in a few days...and wow...more money wasted down the drain. I have been searching for something that I can have quality ingredients and fits my budget.
So, with that said... I've been thinking about trying Thrive Market for a while now. And so I finally tried it!
First Impressions
Okay so, I must admit, I was a bit skeptical when I first read about Thrive Market. IT claimed that offers tons of natural/organic food, wine, household, and bath/body products. They claim that many of their products are up to 50% off retail prices, and that they offer wholesale prices.
I'm thinking how can an organic grocery store save me money? Are the prices really THAT low compared to where I shop? What in the world do they carry that I would actually eat?? - Don't worry my friend - Yes, prices are really THAT low, they carry such a variety of food items that everyone in your family can find something, and YES, it actually did save my family money!! I can say hello again to live that healthy lifestyle now!
For example, I usually eat the GoMacro, MacroBar, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bar. I had stopped buying them because the price was just to high. When I ordered from Thrive Market, I paid around $35 for 12 bars. Now, that is a whole lot cheaper than what I was paying at my normal grocery store, where it was $38 for 12 bars! - Yes, $3 difference can really add up...and that is just ONE item. - Not to mention you can get $15 off your order when you sign up for text alerts. (You can click the link below to sign up). Really. Every little bit helps.
How does Thrive Market Work?
Thrive Market is great because when you first arrive on their site, it asks you a variety of questions. For example, when do you grocery shop? Who do you shop for? What's on your list? and many more questions that are tailored to YOUR shopping habits. I didn't think I'd get personalized attention, but hey- it's worth it.
You can filter and shop by diet (keto, organic, whole30, paleo, etc) which is super helpful, and they offer brand names as well as their own brand of products
You can discover great food, save time on autoship orders (think never to make a LONG grocery list and head to the store EVER AGAIN!) And best part is that YOU are always in control! So if you don't need an order one week - go ahead, pause it for next week instead. Need another order sooner than later? No worries! Just a click of a button and your order is on your way!
Thrive Market does have a cost.
1-month – $9.95/month
1-year – $5/month (billed at $59.95)
It's a better deal to sign up for the Thrive Market at $5/month membership. that gives you access to the best healthy products, delivered at guaranteed savings, and you save BIG. I think it pretty much pays for itself if you use it at least once a month. I know when I drive to the grocery store, I'm spending at least $5.
And another great benefit about Thrive Market is that if you don't make back your membership fee in savings, or they will credit you the difference. That means if your membership fee was $60 & you only saved $40 during your membership year, they will automatically add $20 Thrive Cash to your account after you renew.
f you are a low income family, veteran, teacher or student you can apply for a free membership. If you’re concerned about the Thrive Market fee, they explain it in detail on their webpage here.

Overall Thoughts
I have to say, I have been budgeting, eating clean and healthy for well over 15 years. I've tried many grocery delivery sites...some have been horrible! (example, receiving moldy fruit, or meat already gone bad). I have to say, this is a win-win for me. The price is right, I eat healthy, I save money, I have trustworthy brands that I know are organic and good for my family. I am totally happy with the choice I made to go with Thrive Market. I highly highly recommend that you give it a try if you haven't already, its a great way to live a healthy lifestyle with organic products!
